* Located near the city centre ( + or - 10 minutes) * There was a gratuity bus near by * The room was relatively spacious and with view to the garden and partial view to the Cathedral * We booked on the superior double room, there was no noise at all * The flat TV and the bath worked in good order. * No charge for the car park and for the dog. * The overall decoration of the room and the hotel was very stylish * The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.
There was no coffee or tea make facilities on the room. But I think this is an English thing.

Don't go to the restaurant, it's overpriced and not as good as pretended to be. The hotel itself is ok

You won't forget the lovely warm welcome we got from the staff. Even helped us with our luggage when it was too heavy to handle. The breakfast room was gorgeous, and the homemade food was to die for especially those pies. They really know how to treat their guests!
It wasn't inexpensive but still very much worth it.

Hotel staff were very friendly and professional
Breakfast was served down in the basement, was not a pleasant way to start the day and was over priced. The garden, one reason for booking the hotel, was being dug up and a new terrace laid, while we were there. Our room, though well discounted, was on the street and incredibly noisy from traffic which started at 6am - had we known that this was the reason for the cheaper price we would have gladly paid more for a quiet room. Not sure why the dark windowless corridors were all painted grey - must have been the "in" colour at the time!
